ECMO during Airborne Transportation of Patients: Experiences from Porcine Models

Presentation regarding challanges of transporting severely injured patients over long distances. Apneic ventilation in combination with ECMO is discussed and experiments on the use of ECMO to treat patients suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning is presented. Additionally experince on in-air cannulation is shared.
