The Human Research Ethics Board at Faculty of Humanities, Aalborg University was founded January 1, 2009 in response to researchers’ wish for advance ethical evaluation of projects that fall below the threshold of the Regional Ethical Committee of North Jutland and thus had no means of obtaining independent ethical review and advice before.

The procedure is available to all researchers employed at the faculty and recommended for PhD-students.
