Urban Design Day is a yearly event celebrating and examining professional, academic and student work with urbanism, urban architecture and landscapes. It is hosted by the Section for Urban Design, at Aalborg University’s Department of Architecture, Design & Media Technology. Urban Design Day is open for all students, academics, professionals and everybody else whose heart beats for the complex, yet intriguing, urban territories of the present and the future. This year’s Urban Design Day will focus on the grand urban challenges facing contemporary societies, as well as the designerly dreams and competencies with which we face these challenges. Dive into topics such as: urban design competencies and job opportunities, the adaptive city – water, water, water in the city!, mobilities design, performative and temporary urban environments, technologies and the smart city. Meet and mingle with: professional urban designers from architectural/urban studios, planning authorities, and engineering companies, present and former urban design students, as well as other architecture and design students, researchers and teachers of urban design, representatives from the Danish Association of Architects.| Periode | 30 sep. 2016 |
