an interview with Teresa Neves Petersen of BioNanoPhotonics

Dr. Petersen is Associate Professor at the Institute of Physics and Nanotechnology at Aalborg University, Denmark. Dr. Petersen's research group have patented a technology whereby light is used to immobilise proteins at the molecular level. This is a powerful technique that enables a range of products from tiny biosensor arrays to the development of nano-sized transport into cells of drugs and gene therapies. Dr. Petersen and her team have formed BioNanoPhotonics A/S which is a joint venture spin-off company from Aalborg University with funding from Novi Invest, LicFond and the EU.
