VR Media Lab
Organisationsprofil
VR Media Lab is one of Europe's largest virtual reality (VR) installations with a unique configuration of visualization facilities. The overall object of VR Media Lab is to create a forum for the research and educational environments of Aalborg University as well as functioning as a partner and expert centre for the industry focusing on development projects using VR. VR Media Lab does not only focus on the use of large and advanced display systems, which might be the largest assets of the laboratory. VR Media Lab works with the VR technology in many fields, including small and mobile units as well as augmented reality, interaction, and perception.
What can VR be used for?VR Media Lab has been working with various types of applications within the field of VR: datamining, bio informatics, simulations, town planning, architecture, design, and production. However, there is also focus on VR as a new user interface and as a communication room, in which VR Media Lab analyses and develops new ways of interacting with virtual worlds.
