A PhD project has been carried out to analyse dispersed gas-liquid flows. The commercial Computational Fluid Dynamics package CFX has been used to simulate bubbly flows. The available software employed Large Eddy Simulations (LES). The developed models were validated in simple geometries like an agitated vessel and a bubble column with the use of LDA/PDA and PIV.
