The main goal of this research was to examine the diachronic thinking of autistic children. For this purpose a group of children and teenagers with autism were compared with age and ability matched controls (BPVS and PM) on tests of (1) Diachronic Tendency; (2) Qualitative Transformation; (3) Temporal Dissociation, and (4) Dynamic Synthesis. The results of this research have been submitted for publication.
