The aim of the project is to enhance the research capacity in International Business in Vietnam through research cooperation between the two Vietnamese and the two Danish Universities. The enhanced research capacity will enable the universities to contribute to the generation and dissemination of new knowledge, educate and train future managers and thereby strengthen the competetivesness of Vietnamese firms, which is important for Vietnam´s continued reduction of poverty. The strategy of the project is to enhance research capacity through a number of cooperative efforts. First, the project will make it possible for well-qualified young vietnamese researchers from the two universities to get a ph.D.-degree from the Danish institutions. Second, the project will support Vietnamese researchers to implement research projects in International Business in cooperation with researchers from the Danish institutions. Third, the project will implement research seminars in Hanoi of theoretical and methodological nature. Fourth, the project will acquire relevant databases and materials, and disseminate research results to stakeholders in the business sector as well as to the academic community.
