Beskrivelse
Using a fluorescence plate-reader, we have set up high-throughput fibrillation assays for the peptide hormone glucagons, which is an attractive model for fibrillation studies. This allows us to investigate the mechanism of fibrillation and the effect of various solvents on the process. We have also established conditions for the fibrillation of the model protein S6 in combination with theoretical predictions, and have carried out a comprehensive protein engineering screening to identify side chains involved in the process.
