Food Processing/Distribution in a Value Chain Perspective: The Case of Russia

The aim of the project is to empirically study the Russian value chain for two main food items (bread and meat) and to assess them as to structure, chain relations, efficiency and effectiveness in order to improve our understanding of the dynamics of value chains in a transition context. The project is financed by INTAS (www.intas.be) and has four participants: The International Business Economics Research Group, Department of Business Studies, Aalborg University; Manchester Metropilitan University, UK; Syktyvkar State University, Komi Republic, Russia, and the Institute for Global Economy and International Relations (Russian Academy), Moscow.
