The project is a short-term 2020 renewable energy strategy for two counties in Ireland giving a 20% reduction in CO2 emissions, while ensuring that short-term actions are beneficial to the long-term goal of 100% renewable energy. In the research, the focus is on developing new methodologies for regional energy plans and to investigate the relation between cities and rural areas.
