Morten Balle Hansen is currently (January-June 2014) chairman of an expert committee conducting a meta-evaluation (an evaluation of an evaluation) of the "NAV-reform" in Norway.
The NAV-reform was one of the largest public sector reforms in recent Norwegian history. It merged the employment and national insurance administrations, and implied a more formal collaboration between the new state administration and the local government social services administration through the establishment of partnership arrangements. It is currently getting evaluated and the job of the committee is to examine how experience from the present evaluation may enlighten future evaluations of large scale reforms.
