A common trend in business today is the realisation that one company, in spite of substantial financial, human and other resources, cannot handle the challenges in terms of innovation, marketing, globalisation etc. alone. The issue of interorganisational collaboration and networks becomes increasingly relevant to deal with these challenges. In order to develop new approaches and tools in relation to set-up and implement interorganisational collaboration, KMD and ELRO are cooperating with Center for Industrial Production. Through a three year PhD project, the PhD student will be actively involved in the processes of setting-up and implementing the respective networks for the two companies.
The project with KMD and ELRO is carried out in close cooperation with the NewGIBM project which is employed with developing models and tools to handle New Business and the globalisation challenges of the future. The interorganisational collaboration aspects are an integral part of these issues.
The CIP project group is Associate Professor Peter Lindgren and Ph.D. student Rene C. Goduscheit. The project period is May 2006 through April 2009.
