Projektdetaljer
Beskrivelse
Most of civil and mechanical structures include some random parameters. In broad sense the
randomness could be in either structural properties, i.e. stiffness or damping of the system,
or the loads i.e. buildings which are exposed to earthquake or wind turbines exposed to wind.
In such cases design codes are based on reliability analysis results; the so-called probabilistic
design approach. This can be due to either safety reasons or lifetime and minimization of the
maintenance cost etc. The idea of this project is to develop a new methodology for this aim based
on the evolution of the probability density of the system.
