    Abstract

This chapter throws light on an action research project at a Danish public institution for deafblindness and hearingloss. The project took place over a period of 12 months and involved 22 employees as co-researchers. Based on this specific case, the chapter discusses action research as an approach to work with knowledge sharing and knowledge development and from within the organization in a future oriented perspective of becoming. This approach is an alternative to a more static view of “being” and implies a dynamic understanding of “knowledge” in practice as something fluid, which is socially constructed and continuously developing through human interaction, communication and negotiation. The findings from the project show that the frame of action research offered the participants a useful platform for dialogue, collaborative reflexivity, knowledge sharing and knowledge development where their communicative repertoire became expanded and more nuanced.
