title = "Air Distribution in Rooms with Ceiling-mounted Obstacles and Three-Dimensional Isothermal Flow",
abstract = "The air supply openings in ventilated rooms are often placed close to the ceiling. A recirculating flow is generated in the room, and the region between the ceiling and the occupied zone serves as an entrainment and velocity decay area for the wall jets. Ceiling-mounted obstacles may disturb this flow and, in particular, certain dimensions and positions of the obstacles cause a downward deflection of the jets into the occupied zone resulting in reduced thermal comfort for the inhabitants.",
