Former Deliverable 10 on the state of the art of public policies and socio-economic and environmental impacts identified the main non-technological barriers in 6 different areas. Most of the work performed in this WP9 of Wavetrain2 program has been devoted on how to assess wave energy impacts in these areas in order to propose specific policies in case the impacts are negative or to increase their visibility in case they are positive and, of course, to monitor its development.

This deliverable focuses on tools and methodologies that have been used or developed by Wavetrain2 fellows Alex Raventos (WavEC) and Julia Fernández Chozas (Spok ApS) to assess potential impacts of the introduction of wave energy in the EU from a micro and macro perspective, and involving technical, social, economic and environmental aspects. Thus, we will describe the actual models, databases methodologies and software used, as well as the tools identified for potential future use.
