Abstract
Risk assessment forms a cornerstone in the life-cycle integrity management of concrete structures subject to corrosion. To formulate the required risk assessment models, it is necessary to account for all available experience as well as data of relevance for the modeling of the deterioration processes. In the context of life-cycle integrity management concrete bridges represent large-scale systems and this necessitates that risk models account for the system effects and that such models together with relevant input data and results may be managed efficiently. The present paper presents a Spatial Information System (SIS) which facilitates on the one hand a consistent representation of system dependencies in the modeling of corrosion deterioration of concrete structures and on the other hand the efficient and intuitive management of the required input data and the analysis results. The proposed methodical framework and the developed SIS tool are illustrated on an example considering risk informed condition assessment and inspection and maintenance planning of a large concrete bridge.
