Abstract

This short paper is a research note on a PhD project about Design and evaluation of experiences as a means of learning in a museum context. The purpose of the project is to explore and test how we can REDO the museum exhibition design through experience design. The museum’s classic role as an information and knowledge institution is being challenged by the experience economy. The methodological construction of the PhD project is based on research through design, which sets the scene for three main experiments in the lab, the field and the showroom.
