Abstract

This paper presents an analysis of papers addressing relationships between context, OM practice and performance, published in IJOPM and JOM over the last 25 years. The analysis suggest that the field is highly scattered, still quite immature, but growing. Suggestions for further analysis of existing, and directions for future, research are formulated, aimed at furthering the development of OM contingency theory.
