Description

Overview ACM Multimedia 2015 will host the 12th edition of the Interactive Arts Program. We welcome original works and papers from practitioners and researchers developing innovative approaches in creating interactive art works using computational media, modalities and/or technologies. We seek works that provoke contemplation, address contemporary issues, and interactively engage viewers in discovery and stimulate intellectual adventure. We welcome two categories of artwork: previously developed installations that rely on physical and computational media and/or multimodal technologies, and original creations exploring new concepts and ideas. All artworks are expected to feature significant physical and digital media components or multimodal interfaces. Selection for the exhibition will be based primarily on artistic merit and the potential to engage the conference audience. Digital art installations may include augmented or mixed-reality art, game-based art, enhanced performances, sound-based installations, tangible interfaces, and those featuring mobile and social media. The exhibition will run throughout the conference with an additional event open to the general public to maximise exposure of the artworks.
