Lighting up Midwifery Practice

  • Stine Maria Louring Nielsen (Lecturer)

Activity: Talks and presentationsConference presentations

Description

Stine's PechaKucha will present ethnographic findings from her PhD fieldwork study of a lighting design concept for a delivery room at the Regional Hospital in Copenhagen, Denmark. Addressing the topic of human-centered design, her presentation will argue for the value of (sensory) ethnography in relation to understanding the effects and potential of the investigated design, within the field of healing architecture. Thus, Stine's presentation will tap into how sensory ethnographic studies of design can inform future design processes, evaluations and changes for a sensory humanity.
