Workshop 2:
Multimedia and movements: The positive potentials of empowering online access for children in their education are increasingly being recognised and researched. New opportunities thus emerge for teachers that demand alternative strategies and methods of how to use online resources to their fullest potentials for the children’s learning. However, often such desktop access when taken to excess can result in less exercise for the children, which can be detrimental to their health. Exercise is known to inspire learning. This workshop helps teachers to explore alternative means to motivate physical and cognitive activities to inspire learning through online access. Movement sensing and creative use of media (i.e. movement music making, digital painting, and game-control) will form the core of the workshop.
