Organisation profile

Center for Communication, Media and Information Technologies (CMI) is a center at Department of Development and Planning, Aalborg University. The overall aim for CMI research is to provide and investigate the basis for new ICT applications; to analyse and develop ICT applications and the framework and strategies for their implementation. In addition, it also analyses and suggests policies and regulation related to emerging ICT applications including economic, social and cultural implications of their introduction. The overall objective of the center is to provide expertise and competencies to help private firms and public institutions solve the new problems and exploit the new opportunities presented by the development of ICTs. CMI provides a focal point for multi-disciplinary research and teaching in applications of ICT.
