The Centre for Health Communication focuses on research and mediation within health communication.
The Centre for Health Communication is an innovative, interdisciplinary forum for all kinds of research, development, and mediation within the health communication field.
Involving researchers in health communication, health care professionals, teachers, managers within the health care sector and other interested parties the centre aims at
- collecting knowledge about the ways in which health communication is performed to and between different social groups within the health care system, the health care education system, in public health promotion and information systems
- providing awareness of the effect of communication on the perceptions and behaviour of different social groups through analyses, explanations and discussions of health communication processes
- working for changes in the social practices in the health care sector through interactive research and by mediating results and advice to practitioners and participants concerning the communication within their fields and to publish peer reviewed articles within the academic world
The Centre for Health Communication includes researchers within language, culture, education, learning, philosophy, communication, human centred informatics, psychology, organizational learning, sociology, medical studies and nurses’ education and healthcare.
