Aalborg Infection Research (AIR) is the research unit at the Department of Infectious Diseases, Aalborg University Hospital. The group is led by Professor Henrik Nielsen and is engaged in research in neuro-infections, COVID-19 antibiotic resistance, bacteraemia, hepatitis, intestinal pathogens and microbiota.
The group has affiliated several PhD students and medical students. The group has expertise and experience in clinical database studies and epidemiology, clinical trials, laboratory analyses and cell - and animal models.
