Centre for Education Policy Research

Organisation profile

Centre for Education Policy and Evaluation Research conducts theoretical and empirical research on education. Education is seen as institutionalised programs aiming at creating learning and competence development. Educational programs are often located in educational institutions, but they may also be located in working life or other areas of social life. Educational is analysed from a dual perspective: The possibilities that education offers for human learning and development, and the embedding of education in social and political structures and processes at local, national and global levels.

Centre for Education Policy and Evaluation Research studies all types of education, including primary schooling, vocational education, higher education, adult education and educational programs in working life. The centre conducts basic as well as applied research on education, including evaluation and development projects in collaboration with different external partners.
