Personal profile

Research profile

My research focus and interest revolves around understanding relations between and processes of communication and psychology. I use theories of philosophy, psychology and communication and often by focusing on social episodes or microsociological situations as empirical, or, more precisely, realist cases. A particular focus is the development of the discursive and social-psychological Positioning Theory and the relation between speech and other acts, normative and moral orders, and narrative structures, for the understanding of social interactions.

Teaching profile

I teach on different courses and modules on the education in both communication and psychology at our Department (see my teaching portfolio), and in many different subjects like social-psychology, theories of technology and communicatinon, and philosophy of science.  I am teaching and supervising on both BA and MA levels, and have contributed to the development of different elective moduls, for example the module on Play and Event, focusing on critical design, in the Art and Technology education also in the Department.

Administrative profile

Besides coorindating different modules and semesters, I have been part of the institute concil the last four years, and is presently both on the study board for the educations in communication and on the Faculty based Academic Council as well as on the board of the Center for Cultural Psychology. Furthermore, I have completed a research management education.
