Research profile

Research focus is on methods for analysis of information from the brain for different clinical purposes. Especially methods for EEG-analysis, rehabilitation technology, brain computer interfaces (BCI) and sleep research have been points of foci. KD was the inventor of the commercialized Nightingale Automatic Sleep Analyzer System (PhD-project), and is co-inventor of the EDF-bio-data-format, now used worldwide for exchange and storage of bio-signals. KD initiated focus on sleep research at AAU, and did also initiate research within BCI at AAU. The Aalborg BCI group was one of the first international movers within neuro-rehabilitation using BCI in stroke, SCI and ALS.
