Control and Management of Multi-Microgrid Clusters in Taiwan

Project Details

Description

The main research goal within this project is to develop novel control strategies and algorithms of a new multi-zone MicroGrid in Taiwan. For each Zone the following studies will be done: frequency control, voltage regulation, active and reactive power flow, harmonics and unbalance compensation, secondary control, and coordinated operation by using the following hierarchical control scheme:

- Primary control of the power electronics of the inverters
- Secondary control of each microgrid zone
- Coordinated operation of each zone

The project is a collaboration with the Institute of Nuclear Energy Research (INER), Taiwan.
