Description
This PhD project concerns human-robot interaction (HRI) using sociable mobile robots. Sociable robots in terms of this project means robots, which in a natural way are able
to coexist and interact with humans in an everyday environment. To do this, the robots must act
in a way that feels comfortable for humans in the environment, i.e. act in compliance with the
unwritten context dependent rules of appropriate social behaviour. The focus in the project is on motion of the robot motion i.e. how the robot should move around in a populated human space.
