Project Details
Description
Solum Gruppen has built two versions of an organic waste conversion plant – AIKAN – able to double the energy output of organic waste compared to the current solution, incineration. The operation has proven robust and viable; however, the technology is only partially documented and still holds significant potential for improving the overall energy yield.
The objective of the project is to produce documentation for a fully functional and operational demonstration plant optimised for energy production. This will be done by a series of tests performed at the existing AIKAN plant located in Holbæk.
The effect of the EUDP project will be that Solum can pursue specific market opportunities in e.g. Denmark, Asia and USA.
