The electronic patch

Project Details

Description

The goal of this project is to develop and test wireless intelligent plasters that can be placed on the skin. They will measure biological signals (like EMG), process the signals and send the interesting parts wireless to a nearby receiver. The plasters will contain embedded electronics and power.

The patch will be tested on heart patients admitted at home in cooperation with Vendsyssel Hospital in Frederikshavn and the District Nursing of the Municipality of Frederikshavn.

Partners participating in the project are: Coloplast A/S, RTX Healthcare A/S, Systematic A/S, Silicide ApS, SOS International A/S, Department of Micro and Nano Technology at the Technical University of Denmark and DELTA. The Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation supports the project.
