Euro-Asian Network for Strengthening Graduate Education and Research in Wireless Communications www- http://kom.auc.dk/project/netwic The Asia-Link Programme is an initiative by the European Commission to promote the creation of new partnerships and new sustainable links between European and Asian higher education institutions. Program component: Institutional and systems development The aim of the EAGER-NetWIC Project: To develop university capacity in India and Indonesia in the field of wireless and mobile multimedia communication technology by: Strengthening the internal university leadership for the establishment of Centers for Wireless Communications at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) and Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Establishing a world class academic network of higher education in the rapidly growing field of Wireless mobile communications between Aalborg University, Delft University of Technology, Universita? di Roma Tor Vergata, Birla Institute of Technology, Institut Teknologi Bandung The target groups: Management and senior staff at BIT and ITB ITB and BIT as universities to better profile these institutions in the field of wireless communications as part of a world-class network. Instructors / Lecturers of wireless and mobile communications at all institutions Duration: 36 months (1 April 2003 ? 31 March 2006) Main activities: * Develop management and senior staff through workshops and peer-consultancy * Create education and research Centers for Wireless Communications at BIT and ITB with industry involvement * Offer state-of-the-art research programs and curriculum and/or joint courses at masters level in Wireless and mobile communications which meet international standards. * Enhance linkages between universities and telecommunication industries Research topics: ?
