Description

The purpose of the project is to support research capacity development in Africa in the field of Innovation and Development. The primary role of AAU in the project is to implement the AfricaLics Visiting Fellowship Programme (VFP) that supports capacity development of African PhD students and Post-docs working in the field of innovation and economic development in Africa. In addition, AAU contributes with strategic support to the planning and implementation of AfricaLics Ph.D seminars, research conferences and other types of capacity development of the AfricaLics network. The project is organisationally anchored at African Centre for Technology Studies (ACTS) in Nairobi, Kenya, which also hosts the AfricaLics secretariat. AfricaLics is a regional research network attached to the Global research network on Learning, Innovation and Competence-building Systems (Globelics). It receives financial support from the Swedish International Development Agency, Sida.
