High Power Density Electric Motor (HIPOD)

Project Details

Description

The overall objective is to obtain knowledge on how HIgh POwer Density (HIPOD) and HIgh TOrque Density (HITOD) electric motors are designed and built. HITOD motors may also be denoted Low Speed High Torque (LSHT) motors. This includes theoretical expressions explaining the physical limits for design of electric motors. In other words what are the basic factors that influences how power/torque dense motors can be. The project is made in corporation with Sauer Danfoss Aps, who also is sponsor for the project.
