Project Details

Description

The Intelligent IT Infrastructure project (I3) is proposed to demonstrate the impact on the overall network performance and reliability by applying new configuration principles based on the con-cept of structural based quality of service (SQoS). Part of the project will be a visualisation of automated planning and configuration methods using different graph algorithms based on 2D and 3D GIS information.

Another main part of the I3 project is to construct a demonstrator of reasonable size with an asso-ciated control centre, which can set link-configurations, generate traffic and monitor network per-formance. This demonstrator is also used to test the performance and illustrate the principles of different network topologies and associated routing/restoration algorithms.
