Intercultural encounters in scout units (Kulturmøder i spejdergrupper)

    Project Details

    Description

The project seeks to develop intercultural awareness and communications skills among young people from 8 to 12 years old ('mini' and 'junior' scouts). Building on the 'Learning by Doing' method, a team of experienced leaders have developed and tested activities encouraging the scouts to explore, engage with and reflect on the cultural diversity found in their local community. The outcome of the project are two merit badges, Kulturspejder and Kulturagent, which will be incorporated in the official programme package offered by the Danish Scout and Guide Association.
