Description

The Scandinavian countries together with many other countries in the Western Europe do have a long tradition for staff development for academic university staff. The UNESCO Chair in PBL has build on these traditions and has some years ago developed a master programme in problem and project based learning for staff at institutions that are in a process of change. Furthermore, the UNESCO chair has developed special training packages in combination with the formal master programme.

This research and development project aim to study the intercultural issues that occurs during the practice of training with special emphasise on development of cultural sensitive PBL-models.

The research methods  will be based on action research and qualitative methods and will be carried out in relation to actual training sessions in different regions in the world.
