Project Details

Description

The JADE project is a co-operation between AAU and SAMSUNG, with the aim of providing innovation and research for fourth-generation communication systems. As the demand for higher data rates increases, more elaborate methods of transmitting the digital signals must be used. This places more stringent requirements on the analog part of the mobile transmitter/receiver. The RISC participation in this project involves identifying and investigating potential transmitter and receiver-related problems of 4G systems as well as finding viable solutions. Computer simulations are used to evaluate the effects these problems have on the signal. This, in turn, helps to define 4G systems in a realistic manner, taking estimates of state-of-the-art hardware performance into account.
