Description

Multiple Description (MD) coding is a state-of-the-art technique to provide source coding with robustness to information loss in a communication channel without requiring retransmission. This project addresses the challenge of optimizing MD coders for wireless networks. In particular, we consider the specific problems related to MD coding of video and the possibilities for optimizing the network usage for video transmission.
