Resilience under uncertain Arctic conditions: Exploring the potential of impact assessment and local knowledge

Project Details

Description

This research project aims to contribute to resilient communities, through improved handling of uncertainty and inclusion of local knowledge in decision-making concerning the large-scale development projects, which currently characterise parts of the Arctic. Impact Assessment is a pivotal tool in this regard, and is used across the Arctic to support decision-making, making it uniquely positioned as a point of departure. The project will build and disseminate knowledge, and contribute to building a new field of research.
