The project, which is carried out in cooperation with Hi-Con, CRC Technology and BYG-DTU, aims at investigating the load-carrying capacity of columns of high-performance concrete. Static tests at common in-door temperature and tests of the load-carrying capacity subject to fire are made. In conncection with the project a new testing machine for testing columns has been built in the department's Structural Research Laboratory and one of the furnaces in the Fire Laboratory has been redesigned for this type of column test. The project was started in September 2003 and is to be finalized in april 2004.
