Systematische Medienphilosophie

Media Philosophy was developed during the last years especially in the German speaking countries. The 22 participants of the research project (22 colleagues from Germany and the US) represent the following disciplines: media and communication research, image and film studies, dance and theatre studies, literature theory, linguistics, philosophy, sociology. The common interest of the cooperating colleagues from Germany and the US is to interrelate media of perception (as time, space, body), media of communication (as image, langugage, writing) and media of distribution (as printing press, film, television, internet) in a systematic way.
