Abstract

MiGrow is a two-year project funded by Global Focus, Danish CSOs for Development Cooperation. The initiating group argues for CSR communication being the value-creating link between NGOs and private companies in strategic partnerships. Consequently, MiGrow’s ambition is to create a digital media platform capable of countering the challenges of strategic public-private partnerships. Known challenges include significant communicative differences between the NGO world, focusing on large amounts of data and a high degree of detail, and the corporate world’s need for fast, carefully framed and overview-oriented communication.

The study explores the expectations, challenges and barriers in trying to build the bridge between NGO communication and corporate CSR communication. Thus, the aim is to uncover if, and how, it is possible to create and operationalize a shared base that can bridge the two worlds and facilitate the communication and documentation needs of all parties involved.
