With this article we revisit the professional domains of action, originating from the work of H. Maturana. The text is build around two main parts, firstly re-introducing the domains contextualised in relation to different styles of reflection that are put into motion within the domains. Further this argument is strengthened through a particular systemic view on language coining the term emercology for the first time. Having this laid out, the second part will introduce two practical applications of the domains in context, conjoining it with the model knowledge spirals. Through this it is illustrated how the domains can facilitate the creation, development, sharing and application of knowledge in organisations.
