This publication recommends and gives the underlying reasons for a number of concrete requirements concerning accessibility to ordinary housing, housing estates, outdoor areas and common facilities in order that they are suitable also for persons with impaired functionality, including other persons. The aim has been to make it possible for these persons freely to choose housing. The electric wheelchair was chosen as a basis for the requirements to space and accessibility of the publication. The publication is directed at the actors in the housing market such as architects, planners, housing associations and manufacturers of building products.
