    Abstract

The present data report contains data from 13 drained triaxial tests, performed on two different sand types in the Soil Mechanics Laboratory at Aalborg University in March, 1997. Two tests have been performed on Baskarp Sand No. 15, which has already ken extensively tested in the Soil Mechanics Laboratory. The remaining 11 triaxial tests have ben performed on Eastern Scheldt Sand, which is a material not yet investigated at the
    Soil Mechanics Laboratory.

In the first pari of this data report, the characteristics of the two sand types in question will be presented. Next, a description of the features of the Danish triaxial apparatus will be given, and the performed test series will be
outlined. Furthermore, selected results from the performed triaxial tests will be given in the shape of a number of tables.

In the next part of the report, the procedure for execution of the triaxial tests will described. In this connection, the procedure for preparation of the soil specimens will be presented, and the actual performance of the tests will be briefly outlined. Finally, the procedure for processing of the measurements from the laboratory in order to obtain usable data will be described.

The final part of the report is dedicated to a presentation of the individual triaxial tests. Here, the details of the individual tests are given, and the resulting relevant stress-strain curves and volumetric strain curves are presented.
