Modeling of electric vehicle driven by PMSM based on torque control

Abstract

Various simulation models are set up and Maximum torque per ampere (MTPA) control strategy of PMSM is proposed on the basis of closed torque loop control in this paper. First the model of electric vehicle(EV) is set up based on a series of analyses and mathematical models. Second the model of PMSM is set up based on a series of analyses and mathematical models. Third the detailed simulation analyses are carried out for the closed torque loop control of PMSM. Then MTPA control strategy is proposed and the corresponding detailed simulation experiments are done. Finally, EV is combined with PMSM made of a complete system, and simulation experiments are done. All the simulation experiments have verified that the models built in this paper are correct, and the proposed MTPA control strategy is feasible which has improved the traditional closed torque loop control strategy.
