Failure Modes: Limit State Equations for Stability

Research output: Contribution to book/anthology/report/conference proceedingArticle in proceedingResearch

Abstract

The present appendix contains the derivation of ten different limit state equations divided on three different failure modes. Five of the limit state equations can be used independently of the characteristics of the subsoil, whereas the remaining five can be used for either drained or undrained subsoils. The presumed geotechnical conditions appear from the illustrations.
